Just started my class. I have 2 more to go, plus my thesis class, then I will officially have my Master’s and the money will start rolling in so I can pay off these loans, right? haha.

This course is designed to show how collaborative websites can help a project manager with their projects. Collaborative sites allow the project team to post, edit and jointly work on documents of all types, such as project charters, project plans, WBS, requirements gathering, budgets, schedules, procurement activities and closeout activities.

Collaborative sites allow a project manager to control the documentation associated with a project and to ensure the security levels associated with those documents. These sites also give the project manger a way to assign tasks, build a project calendar, set up logs for gathering information and other duties.

The lab portion of the course will use SharePoint as a template and show how to set up a site, folders, lists, task lists, calendars and the security levels associated with each. A SharePoint site will be set up for each student and the student will have access to both the class site and their individual site.

Students are responsible for the assigned readings as well as materials posted by the instructor.
